Appetite for Art

Capitol Hill Art League – Appetite for Art

Wallar received an Honorable Mention award at the Capital Hill Art League’s open show, Appetite for Art. One of the top five works of 130 submitted, Wallar’s “Morvan and Others,” is remarkable for exhibiting the fine qualities of cheese, the food, and cheese, an object of art.

Two jurors for the show were Top Chef Stephen Cheung of Lavagna Restaurtant who started out with the family businesses in Fusion Grill in the local Easter Market, and Deirdre Ehlen MacWilliams, an art curator who leads the Arlington County Public Art Program and previously worked for the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. She directs Mid-City Artists who promote art in mid-city DC.

The show runs from March 5 to April 15
