Capitol Hill Art League Show: Food for Thought

Washington, DC has arrived as a foodie town. From creative fare to celebrity chefs to unique venues, the nation’s capital boasts diverse restaurants that fit any palette and price range.

The Capitol Hill Art League paid homage to Washington, D.C. new status with on open show entitled “Food for Thought.” Wallar’s Still Life: Stichelton and Others” (acrylic on panel 12”x12”) was one of only 30 selected by Judge Bonny Wolf.  Wolf approached the subject more from a food-as-appealing-to-eat perspective. A longtime journalist and food writer, she contributes a monthly food commentary to NPR’s award-winning Weekend Edition and is managing editor of American Food Roots, a national food blog.

The show ran from March 7th through April 16th, 2015 at the Capital Hill Arts Workshop 545 7th Street SE, Washington, D.C.
